CH5517 – Advanced Physical Inorganic Chemistry
Lecturers: Dr B. E. Bode* and Dr J-W Bos
(*Module Convenor)
Aims:
To discuss advanced topics in physical inorganic chemistry with a special emphasis on recent developments in the fields of paramagnetic and thermoelectric systems.
Covers the analysis of inorganic compounds and bioinorganic systems by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy including the use of inorganic spin labels. This includes EPR instrumentation, EPR theory, data acquisition and interpretation and the introduction of pulse EPR methods.
