You can use your Android or iOS smartphone as a document camera, allowing you to share live tutorial work from your desktop in a Teams meeting.

We have tested the following programmes, depending on your smartphone and computer setup. Most of the free versions of these apps are sufficient for sharing your work in a tutorial.

Windows
Android or iOS

iVCam is a tool for Android and iPhone users running Windows PCs. The free version will allow for 2h of 720p images, before reverting to slightly lower VGA resolution.

The paid for version allows for more image adjustment and unlimited HD streaming.

macOS
iOS

Reincubate Camo is a tool for iPhone users with a mac. The free version allows sharing of the single back camera (up to 720p) and shows a small watermark in the bottom corner of your screen.

The subscription version adds the ability to use other cameras and has a comprehensive suite of image adjustments.

macOS
Android

iRIUN Webcam is a solution for Android phone users with a mac, connecting through a cable.

EpocCam is an alternative solution for Android phone users with a mac, but requires your phone to be on the same WiFi network as your computer. This does not work on eduroam.

This short video will show you how to set up your phone to be able to share your desktop using a small tripod.
